Today in Anglican communities all over the world our sisters and brothers gathered, called by these words of their collect prayer:
"Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing you have made and forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen"
Do you know your sins? (this is the contrite, lamenting wretchedness part)
Did you confess them to God? (this is the trusting in God's Love and Faithfulness part)
Do you know Jesus Loves you?
Then dance ... for He washed, washes and will wash you in His Love. You are Forgiven; despite everything you have done, in His eyes (as you return and repent) you are white as snow!!
It is a beautiful day of joyful sadness. There is a great sadness that because of our sin we are separated from The One who loves us so perfectly. We repent and are sorry because the fault is ours. But our Redeemer lives!! This is joy, unspeakable unimaginable Joy!!
He is coming back again to us and WE - ARE - FORGIVEN. I feel a joy so overwhelming at writing this I just might run, jump, sing, dance, kneel, pray, read His story, sing His praise in psalms, hymns and Christian Rock, bang those drums, strike the cymbals, shake the tambourine as the choir sings and the big pipe organ thunders it's anthem ... from the highest mountain to the quiet pew let us all worship Jesus, our God!!! He Loves us. Celebrate it. Know it!! With deepest reverence and respect, with the highest happiness and joy, with all honour and glory worship Him; know Him, God eternally One, Father, Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ ... I just love Him!
